- Wasatch Backcountry Rescue
- A non-profit, backcountry rescue organization, working under the direction of the Salt Lake County Sheriffs Office, Search and Rescue. Our primary purpose is quick response for avalanche rescue and winter related incidents using trained search and rescue dogs and personnel familiar with the local mountain terrain. Our secondary purpose is to educate the local backcountry skiers in safe techniques for winter travel in the mountains plus the equipement and methods used for self rescue in case of any incident.
